OCULAR MANIFESTATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic multisistemic disease of an unknown cause characterised by persistens inflammatory synovitis which results in destruction cartilage and bone erosions. RA is a systemic disease with various out of joint manifestations of different clinical importance, among which rheumatoid knots, rheumatoid vasculitis, pleuropulmonal and ophthalmological manifestations are the most prominent ones. The most frequent changes of the eye in patients with RA are keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), episcleritis and scleritis and ulcerous keratitis. Out of 70 examined patients, 52 (74.3%) are female, and 18 (25.7%) of male sex (ratio 4:1), average age 56.47. In 18 (25.71%) RA diseased patients eye changes found are as folows: secondary Sjögren syndrom, that is keratoconjunctvitis sicca in 18.57%, only in female patients, episcleritis nodosa and scleritis in 4.29%; 2.86% in male and 1.43% female patients and ulcerous keratitis in 2.86% RA diseased patients.

UTILIZATION OF ANTIBIOTICS FOR SYSTEMIC USE AT THE SURGICAL CLINIC OF THE CHC - PRISTINA IN GRACANICA
In our work we analyzed utilisation of antibiotics for systemic use at the Surgical Clinic of the Clinical Hospital Centre - Pristina in Gracanica in 2007. and 2008. Data on antibiotic utilization were delivered on the basis of drug dispensing records from the Central Hospital Pharmacy during the two-years period. Antibiotics were distributed inside the ATC/DDD system in accordance with WHO guidelines. Quantitative antibiotics' utilisation was expressed as number of defined daily doses per 100 patient-days (DDDs/100 PD). Overall use of antibiotics in 2007 was 123.37 DDDs/100 PD, and 125.09 DDDs /100 PD in 2008. Three most utilized antibiotics in 2007. were cefuroxime 24.26 DDDs/100 PD (19.66 % of total antibiotics' use), ceftriaxone 16.65 DDDs/100 PD (13.49 %), and cephalexin 15.78 DDDs/100 PD (12.79 %). In 2008. the most utilized were ceftriaxone 23.23 DDDs/100 PD (18.57 %), cefuroxime 22.53 DDDs/100 PD (18.01 %), and co-trimoxazole 19,55 DDDs/100 PD (15.63 %). Qualitative and quantitative part of the consumed antibiotics was mainly in accordance with the results of similar researches in our country.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MEASUREMENT OF MYELOPEROXIDASE ACTIVITY IN ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME
In the last ten years significant progress has been made in understanding of role of neutrophil granulocytes and their enzyme myeloperoxidase in the evolution and complications of atherosclerosis. Myeloperoxidase plays the role in the development of vulnerable plaque associated with the development of acute coronary syndrome. There is much evidence that suggests the role of myeloperoxidase in the development of vulnerable plaque. We investigate the value of myeloperoxidase as marker of the presence of vulnerable plaques in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Myeloperoxidase activity was significantly high in serum of the patients with the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome as reflection of the presence of vulnerable plaques. Increase in myeloperoxidase activity in serum of patients with the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome precedes to myocardial damage.

METABOLIC REGULATION OF DIABETES AND FUNGAL SKIN INFECTIONS
In diabetics fungal skin infections are reported to be related to greatly disturbed metabolism. In order to get better insight into the association between diabetes mellitus and fungal skin infections, we started our study with the aim to assess the effect of metabolic regulation on the incidence of fungal skin infections is diabetics. The obtained results of our study show that in patient with metabolically poorly regulated primary disease i.e. diabetes the incidence of the fungal skin infections is highest (36.0%), its incidence is lower in patients with metabolically satisfactorily regulated diabetes (29.5%) and lowest in those with well regulated diabetes (18.8%), witch is statistically significant difference (p=0.045).

ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA AND POLYPS
Endometrial hyperplasia appears like a result of continues, not mortified stimulation of endometrial by estrogenically hormones. Endometrial becomes nub which histological mirrors in endometrial gland multiplication, in smaller amount even endometrial strom. Endometrial polyp represents focal overmuch growth of gland stromas endometrial and its considered a focal endometrial hyperplasia. Therefore we will examine them at the same time. Medical faculty of Prishtina - Kosovska Mitrovica did an analysis of biopsy and operational material in pathology institute in the period from 2005 to 2008 out of 3696 histological proved cases, its recorded that 210 cases have endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial polyp, which is 5,68%. According histological type the most often seen is endometrii hyperplasia simplex who is spotted in 127 cases (60,48% - D= 0,195; p<0,001), endometrii hyperplasia complex in 19 cases (9,09%), cases where endometrial hyper-plasia and endometrial polyps are united are spotted in 14 cases (6,67%), while endometrii polypus in 50 cases (23,81%). By analysis of all types of endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial polyps we came to conclusion that all of these changes are mostly made at the age of 41-50 (60,48%) compared to other ages. (D=0,267; p<0,001). In between all patients the youngest was 22 years old (endometrii hyperplasia simplex) and the oldest 78 years old (endometrii polypus). On the basics of studied values, regression's analysis it's been confirmed that the numbers of cases with endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial polyps are growing for 8,6 every year, which points at bigger and bigger problem in the whole pathology.

THE PROSPECT OF UTILIZING SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE IN PHARMACOKINETICS
This article aims to promulgate the use of Microsoft Excel, one of the predominant spreadsheet applications, in the calculation of approximate functions by the method of spline polynomial interpolation. Cubic spline functions have demonstrated a remarkable suitability for the analysis of pharmacokinetic data of drugs with non-linear kinetic behavior or an unknown kinetic model, as well as general kinetic analysis, regardless of pharmacokinetic and compartmental models. It should be noted that cubic spline polynomials can be employed in determining a highly significant pharmacokinetic parameter - the area under curve (AUC), especially when the area measurement is not the principal intention, and the data is to be used for further research. Spreadsheet software is exceptionally pertinent to this kind of computation, as it delivers high precision and virtually instantaneous availability of the results. Moreover, this type of software possesses conspicuous flexibility, characterized by a real-time graphical representation and the capability to sustain user-created functions through a macro-language (VBA - Visual Basic for Applications) implemented in the program itself.

RISK FACTORS AND ASTHMA
Asthma is one of the oldest diseases although it's etiopathogenesis has been explained in more details recently. It is very commin in the general population, and especially in children's population. Lately, the rising trend of asthma is the result of the increased exposure of children to unfavourable environmental factors such as air pollutants and "new" allergens in the course of 20 to 30 years. Asthma is multifactorial disease, the interaction of many factors is responsible for its inception and deterioration. Our research included 95 children having allergic asthma and 40 children having nonallergic asthma. All examinees were interviewed by means of epidemiological questionnaire on risk factors. In that way, basic demographic data, data concerning predisposing, causal and contributing risk factors for asthma inception were gathered. The average age of children having allergic asthma was 11.18 years, and the ones having nonallergic asthma were 14.25 years. In regard to gender structure of those having asthma, asthma is more common in the case of male population (65%). The risk for allergic asthma inception is increased by air pollutants, respiratory infections, and increased level of serum IgE. The biggest relative risk is found for the increased levels of serum IgE (OP=5.839), allergy to medicines. Those are variables which increase the risk for allergic asthma inception. The above mentioned variables are predicative factors for atopy inception.

ANSWERS TO CRUCIAL QUESTIONS RELATED TO PROBLEMS OF PERIARTICULAR AND ARTICULAR-OSSEOUS DISEASES IN DIABETES MELLITUS
Within published data, arthropathies in diabetics, alcoholics, trauma, tabes dorsalis, syringomyelia, and scleroderma are judiciously called neuropathic arthropathies (Vargazon). Main common characteristics of these arthropathies are the following: they involve one or more joints; there is edema, deformity, ulcerations, increased pigmentation and myositis ossificans (Reinhardt, Clouse, Thornhill, et al.). The most common findings in diabetes mellitus are neuroendocrine dystrophies of musculoskeletal system. Diabetic osteoarthropathy is common name that refers to rheumatic diseases that are frequently encountered in diabetics. These diseases include: Charcot joint, hyperostotic spondylosis (Forestier's disease), humeroscapular periarthropathy, Dupuytren's contracture, joint contracture with skin thickening in juvenile diabetes mellitus, etc.

THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MORPHOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS OF FIRST-CLASS
The aim of the research was to use a system of 25 variables of morphological characteristics on a sample of subjects numbering 200 top athletes, all males (50 handball players,50 volleyball players, 50 basketball players, 50 soccer players), aged 18 to 30, in order to determine their factor structure, which would be in aid of more rational procedures for the continual selection of athletes in these sports and the transformational training process. By means of the component analysis (the direct oblimin) and the GK criterion (ë≥1.00) used to obtain the common characteristic roots and the explained segments of common variance, five latent variables were isolated for the handball players (body mass and voluminosity and the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the upper body, the longitudinal dimension of the skeleton, the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the lower extremities and upper àrm, the transverse dimension of the lower extremities, the transverse dimension of the elbow and shoulder), six latent variables for the volleyball players (the transverse dimension of the wrist and body volume and mass, subcutaneous fatty tissue of trunck, longitudinal dimension of skeleton, the transverse dimension of knee and foot length, lower leg skin folds and fatty tissue of the upper arm, elbow diameter), another five latent variables for basketball players (the longitudinal dimension of the skeleton, body mass and voluminosity and subcutaneous fatty tissue of the trunck, the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the lower extremities and upper arm, transverse dimension of the lower extremities and the wrist, the transverse dimension of pelvis) and six latent variables for the soccer players (the longitudinal dimension of the skeleton, the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the lower extremities and upper arm, body mass and voluminosity, the transverse dimension of the legs, shoulder and hand, the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the trunck, transverse dimension of the arms). On the basis of the identified factor structures of the latent variables, it can be concluded that we are dealing with a case of different morphological structures of the different athletes.

GROWTH HORMONE: OF THERAPY TO DOPING
Because of it’s anabolic and lipolytic effects and with the beginnings of the production of recombinant growth hormone for the treatment of many congenital diseases began and growth hormone abuse in sport. His contributions to enhancing the physical performances of athletes are debatable, and there are many side effects. Detection of growth hormone use as doping agents is impossible by standard means of doping because of the identity of its recombinant and natural forms. There are various tests measuring its isoforms and collagen peptide, while the use of carbon isotope is still under investigation. Efficient detection tests, the use of "athlete passport" and education of athletes, are good way to prevent misuse of growth hormone.
