PERIODONTAL CONDITION IN PATIENTS WITH RED BLOOD CELLS DISEASE

Health of soft oral tissue and periodontium in biggest measure depends as well of oral hygiene. It exists the positive correlation between oral hygiena and periodontal condition. Many systemic disease, as blood disease, change reactivity of organism and also peridontium, and directly take influence at course and difficulty of periodontitis.

PERIACINAR CLEFTINGS IN PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA, PROSTATIC INTRAEPITHELIAL NEOPLASIA AND BENIGN HYPERPLASIA OF PROSTATE

Diagnosis of different pathohystological diseases of prostate in the most cases based on common benignant and malignant characteristics. The presence of periacinar cleftings (PC) is an additional criterion favouring prostatic adenocarcinoma. The aim of our work was to examine the presence of PC around glands in prostatic adenocarcinoma (PA), prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) and benign hyperplasia of prostate (BHP) and to determinate specificity and sensitiveness for their presence in PA. We analysed biopsy material of Institute of pathology, Medical faculty Priština and Department of pathology and forensic medicine Clinical center of Kragujevac from begining of 2007. till the end of 2008. According to the presence and extent of PC, analysed on high power field (400x), glands were classified as: group 1 - glands without PC or with PC affecting ≤50% of gland circumference; group 2 - glands with PC affecting >50% gland circumference in <50% examined glands and group 3 - glands with PC affecting >50% gland circumference in ≥50% examined glands. By the analyse of our material we found PC around glands in PA, PIN and BHP: the most glands in PA were group 2 (34 or 48,6%) and group 3 (31 or 44,3%), in PIN group 1 (12 or 60%) and group 2 (8 or 40%), in BHP glands at all 100% cases were group 1. We found sensitiveness 92,9% and specificity 73,3% for glands with PC at prostatic adenocarcinoma, which indicate that periacinar cleftings represent a reliable criterion in diagnosis prostatic adenocarcinoma.

CYTOLOGIC EXAMINATION IN DIAGNOSIS OF ORAL HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS-1 INFECOIONS

The nature of herpes simplex virus as infective agens, which can grow in number, only in live cells, and fact that many herpes virus infections of oral tissue have atypic and asymptomatic course, makes their diagnosis more difficult and complicate from infections caused by other microorganisms. The aim of this investigation were to established cytological findings oral lesions of primary and recurrent herpes infections.

HISTOPATHOLOGICAL COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PROSTATIC INTRAEPITHELIAL NEOPLASIAAND PROSTATIC CARCINOMA IN THE BIOPSY SPECIMENS

Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) is putative premalignant lesions of the prostate. This lesion has role as precuror of prostatic carcinoma (PC), predictive role for PC and high coexistens with PC. Existed two grade of PIN: low grade PIN (LGPIN) and high grade PIN (HGPIN). PC is most important malignacy in man and has high mortality in male. The aim of research was to invastigated morphological comparative patterns of HGPIN and PC. We analyzed biopsy material of 299 cases (cs). We used histopathological metods of investigation. We found HGPIN in 42 cs (14.0%) with mean age 66.3 y and PC in 35 cs (11.7%) with mean age 70.7 y. HGPIN was most frequently in the seventh decade of life (54.8%), and PC in the eight decade (45.4%). Four common pattern of HGPIN were identified: tufting (78.6%), micropapillary (72.8%), cribriform (16.6%) and flat (9.5%). In 21 from 35 cs (60%) with PC was coexistent HGPIN. HGPIN we found in the periferial part in the 22 cs. (52.4%) and in the periurthral part of the prostate in the 12 Cs. (28.6%). HGPIN were multicentric in the 22 cs. (52.4%), in the 15 cs. (68.2%) in the periferial part, and in the 7 cs (31.8%) in the periurethral part of the prostate. PC in the 22 cs (62.9%) was localized in the periferial, and in the 7 cs in the periuretral portion of the prostate. PC was multicentric in 28.6%. Important histological patterns for distinction HGPIN i PC are: disruption of basal cell layer, perineural invasion, mitotic figures, multiple nucleoli, collagenous micronodules, infiltrative growth. HGPIN and PC we found in sufficient percentage. Both lesion were most frequently multicentric, periferial localisation and coexistent. Because of that these lesions needed serious clinical and histological investigations for patients.

RECURENT ECURENT CHILDREN HEADACHES IN CHILDREN HEADACHES IN VOJVODINA

Among the Vojvodinian children aged between 3-16, 27,69% have recurrent headaches, 18,83% have nonmigraine and 8,63% migraine headaches. Children aged between 3-7 suffer recurrent headaches in 18,64%, 14,77% nonmigraine and 3,87% migraine. The presence of migraine headaches rises proportionally to aging, more significantly than the presence of non-migraine ones from 2,65% to 11,72% with boys, and from 2,71% to 15,86% with girls. The presence of nonmigraine headaches with children aged 3-16, grows proportionally to age, from 14,0% to 21,15% for boys, and from 14,36% to 24,84% for girls. Migraine with aura makes 25,55%, migraine without aura 67,21% and other migraine headaches 7,23% of the migraine syndromes
