QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF SPORTS INJURIES IN KOSOVSKA MITROVICA
The extent and frequency of sports injury is often influenced by a variety of exogenous and endogenous factors, including poor physical fitness muscular imbalance, anatomical abnormalities, poor nutrition, and periods of intensive growth. The competing ability must be carefully estimated after injury, taking into account the nature and type of injury, the pain sensitivity as well as the time that passed from the injury. This is usually accomplished by the comparison with the uninjured limb, as well as with functional examinations. We evaluated the frequency and the type of injury in 112 sportsmen in Kosovska Mitrovica. Our results indicate that accurate evaluation of competing ability after injury is an important preventive measure in further sports activities.

COMPRESSIVE OSTEOSYNTHESIS AND BONE OSTEOPLASTICS AS METHODS IN TREATMENT OF BONES PSEUDOARTHROSIS
The pseudoarthrosis is a pathological state of the bone when the refracted bone fragments are not connected by bone callus. The causes for the occurrence of the pseudoarthrosis may be general and lokal. In treatment we were using two methods: the bone plastic and osteosynthesis and compression osteosynthesis by Ilizarov. The aim of this work is the analysis of patients with pseudoarthrosis and results of treatment. The study included 29 patients treated for the past ten years the Department of Orthopedics Health Center Z.C.Kosovska Mitrovica. The most frequently pseudoarthrosis were in humerusu 6 (21%), ulna 6 (21%) and skafoidne bone 6 (21%). The pseudoarthrosis in tibia was treated in 4 (14%) patients, in the femur 3 (10%) patients. 2 (7%) of the patients were operated with diagnosis the medial-maleolus pseudoarthrosis of the tibia fractures and 1 (3%) patient were operated with diagnosis the maleolus pseudoarthrosis of the fibula and of the radius. We were using the treatment methods osteoplastic and osteosynthesis for 28 (97%) patients and one patient was treated with the device by Ilizarov method. Patients were monitored by the clinical way, by the radiographic way ,by laboratory way and by the functional way The average time of the monitoring was ten months .The average time of the healing was the five months. We noticed the one complications only, a lesion of the radius, which is repaired. The pseudoarthrosis is not common, in our material it is 4% of the total number of the operated patients. The most frequently pseudoarthrosis was on humerous 21% (6 patients). By applying the compressive osteosynthesis methods and osteoplastic method we have achieved the completely curring in 89% (26 operated patients).

THE FRACTURES OF THE LOWER LEG AND HEALTHING THE FRACTURES WITH EXSTERNAL FIKSATER BY MITKOVICH USING THE CLOSED
The fractures of the tibia are mainly the fractures of the long bones. In the department of the orthopedic in Kosovska Mitrovica, 45 of patient with fracture of the lower leg had been treated with using the closed method. It had been the linear fractures in the 84% of the treated cases. The most number of the patients were treated in the hospital for 5 days. In our healing we are noticed the folowed complications in the treated patients: the major infections around the pin were in the 4% of the treated patients (2 patients),the fat embolism were in the 2% of the treated patients (1 patient),the pseudoarthrosis were in the 4% of the treated patients (2 patients). Aplication the extrafocal fixat r by Mitkovich using the closed method made possible that the fracture became stable in fast and simply way with the minnor invasion at the soft tissues and with this are made the conditions for splicing of the fractures.

POSSIBILITY TREATMENT FRACTURES TROCHANTERIC AREA, INTERNAL FIXATOR WITH DOUBLE DYNAMISATION BY MITKOVIC
Transtrochanteric fractures represente ekstracapsular fracture proksimal heel of femur, but sometimes is possible to stretch fracture line in intracapsular area. All this fracture represente large disability for patient, large life threatening and if is don`t have adequate treatment substantially is change quality of life. Most of patient with transtrochanteric fractures is older than 65. years with prevalence women gender in attitude 3:1. Number of patient with fracture proksimal heel of femur and with fracture trochanteric area growing up from year to year. In west country this fracture get epidemic shape. For make work it is used material from department of Orthopaedics and traumatology in Medical centre in Kosovska Mitrovica in interval at 2003. to 2006. years. In process of work we follow frequency patient with transtrochanteric fractures in attitude at gender, age, way of injury. We following time elapsed from fractures to surgery treatment, kind of anesthesia, number of day after operation. In postoperative course following is time verticalization patient, presence early and late complication. The ultimatefunctional results which we receive, were shown according to the modificated scale by Merle d'Aubigneu

THЕ INFLUENCE OF EXTERNAL FIXATION TYP MITKOVIC ON LOWER LIMB`S POSTOPERATIVE EARLY RECOVERNG FUNCTIONALITY IN PATIENTS WITH FEMORALAND TIBIAL SHAFT FRACTURES
The tibial and femoral shaft fractures representing prototyp in orthopedic traumatology and great problem for resolving. The speed of limb recovering functionality after surgery is important, and often desicisive for result of treatment. Place of external fixation (EF) in surgical treatment of femurs in DCOS (damage control orthopedic surgery), cominutions of femoral shaft and open fractures, rarely as definitive method. EF in treatment of tibial shaft fractures today take a place as a definitive method like intramedulary nailing. On department of orthopedic surgery in HC Kosovska Mitrovica we examined quality of life and speed of lower limb recovering functionality on 70 patients treated with EF tip Mitkovic as a definitive curative method. The time of achieving early function of lower limbs we divided on 4 levels, and writed time when patients achieved level 3 and 4. Also this timing we compared with middle time of healing tibial or femoral shaft fractures (golden standard) .We examined quality of life with EuroQol 5D evaluation system. 90% of our patient in period 8 to 12 weeks achieved level 3 and 4. There statisticaly significant diference between examined gropu and golden standard, p<0,05. We concluded that EF tip Mitkovic as definiyive curative method improved the speed of lower limbs recovering functionality. Quality of life is very high, 84 points. The number of complications where expected and in proportion with literatures data.

VITAMIN C CONCENTRATIONS IN SERUM BEETWEN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM DIFFERENT FORMS OF NON-SPECIFIC OSTEOMYELITIS
Bone tissue infections caused by non-specific agents (non-specific osteomyelitis) occur most frequently among children and young individuals demanding surgical and antibiotic therapy, although with unpredictable clinical outcome. While mobilization of cellular response to infectious agents takes place, a bulk of oxygen-derived free radicals emerge with concomitant participation of various elements of endogenous antioxidative defense. Vitamin C is an endogenous antioxidant active in the aqueous phase. It is very likely that ostoemyelitic patients already have some kind of disorder in specific antioxidant system due to hematogenic origin of non-specific osteomyelitis. Our results show that serum total vitamin C concentrations among patients with non specific osteomyelitis are not significantly different from those obtained among control subjects. However, we found significantly different concentrations of ascorbate, dehyroascorbate and their concentration ratio in serum within osteomyelitic patients that points to enlarged consumption of ascorbate even before the bone localization of infection took place
